Overall, this is a stereotypical NA plot. It follows all the normal conventions and doesn’t manage to add anything new to the genre. Adding a new spin isn’t required but appreciated. The story wasn’t horrible. It just wasn’t that great either. Dalton would have been more likable if he could have found a better reason to betray the heroine other than money. If his father or other family members were portrayed in a better manner then family loyalty might have been a good reason and even a slightly different take on the spoiled rich kid plot line. His obsession with money just comes off as rather slimy. And we aren’t shown his reliance on money, just told he has one. Perhaps if this had been exploited it would have served as a more complex rationale for his behavior. A lot of the problems with this story stem from the fact that the author doesn’t offer much exploration. Example of this is with Dalton’s sister. She is cast as evil without any real appearance or details. The reader is told she exists and isn’t nice, end of her story.
Other reviews mention that the story ends rather abruptly, which is fine as it is a cliff hanger. That aside, from a formatting aspect, the author could have given the readers some type of prompt or clue. There is no mention of a sequel or that this isn’t the final end, just goodbye for now. Some type of warning would have been very much appreciated.

I really enjoyed this book
This is a great book, it's affiliated with Beneath My Wings, also by the same author. This is a book where u can't put it down cause you want to know what's gonna happened next. I can't wait till the next book is released..
Great book!!! Just frustrated that I have to wait for second book!! Love Gaby and Dalton, though I'd like to kick his sorry but sometimes for not having b*lls to stand up to family!!!
I really liked this book even though most of the story was predictable. Didn't know it ended as a cliff hanger. Will DEFINITELY read the sequel! Like this authors writing. Look forward to reading more of her books.
I must say Charity has done it again. In her first book Beneath Our Faults I was extremely impressed, it was an amazing book but she has truly out done herself with Karma. The instant I began reading it I fell in love with it. At moments I would get teary or I would laugh and other times I would be down right mad. You immediately get sucked into the characters emotions and you can't help but feel what they are feeling. I feel this is one of the best books I have ever read. I rated the book a 5 because it deserved nothing less. Charity has improved a lot since her first book and I believe she is only going to get better. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone.
This book is totally predictable, but still cute and fun. Dalton is engaged to Eva. Their parents arranged the marriage for business purposes when Dalton and Eva were in high school. It is not a love match, but they are friends and have said they can have their fun now with other people but will be monogamous once married. Dalton fails to share this little tidbit with Gabby. You see the train wreck coming. Totally predictable. Gabby, rightfully so, kicks Dalton to the curb, and I hope he stays there. He is a POS, and further sinks himself into the manure when he asks Gabby to be his mistress. Jacka$$! The book ends on a cliffhanger. I had no idea there was a second book. I have a feeling it will be predictable in that Gabby and Dalton will get back together. Sorry, Dalton is a book ex-boyfriend in my book, so I'm not sure if I'll read the next book.
It’s always risky falling for anyone, but when Gabby falls for a guy who is her step cousin, and his whole family hates her, the risk becomes life altering. Dalton never expected to do anything other than what his parents wanted him to do. Marry the right girl, work in his dad’s company, have a life fully planned out for him. But one night with Gabby changes all of that.

In the sequel we’ll find out which direction Gabby and Dalton both choose for their lives and if they end up together or further apart.
